Chloe Baby Studio Session

Last weekend, I photographed three week old baby Chloe in our studio near Newcastle. I normally don’t photograph newborn babies, but this was for a close family member, so we got together in the studio to create a few nice images for them. It took a few hours to create these, a little while for her to relax and fall asleep for us to give us these beautiful images. But it was worth the wait at the end.

Merewether Ocean Baths

One of my favourite locations to photograph here in the Newcastle region is Merewether Ocean Baths. It always looks great and there is so much variety and photo opportunities and angles to choose from. Combined with a colourful sunrise or sunset, it is something spectacular. It was opened in 1935 and is the largest ocean baths complex in the southern hemisphere.

Here’s a couple of my favourite modelling images we did for Kirsty to freshen up her model portfolio. This was shot in Cooranbong, a nice quiet area in Lake Macquarie. The makeup and styling was by Bombshell Makeup & Beauty.

Last week, we photographed a beautiful young model at Pelican, Lake Macquarie. It’s a nice quiet little area near Newcastle with lots of opportunities to create some nice photos and is quite a popular area to cater for weddings as well. We were shooting some images for her model portfolio and also some promotional material for a local make up artist whom we work with.

Here are some of my favourite shots from the day.

This shot above is a composite, it was an overcast day and the sky and background was replaced by one of my landscape images of Redhead Beach.

The make up and styling for this shoot was performed by Bombshell Makeup & Beauty.

King Edward Park Bridal

Earlier this week, we did a commercial shoot for a beauty services client in Newcastle which involved a bridal shot. Here is one of my favourite shots from the day. It was shot at King Edward Park, just near the rotunda. It’s one of Newcastle’s most popular public parks and a great spot for photography.

We use full studio equipment outdoors on-location, to create the amazing images like this. It’s days like these that make me love this job even more.

Leura Cascades, Blue Mountains

Here’s another photo from my recent trip to the Blue Mountains. It is taken from Leura Cascades, a set of waterfalls in the small town of Leura. Its a quiet spot with a lot of nice grassy areas to enjoy a picnic or have a bush walk through the marked trails.

There are several waterfalls in the area, some more readily accessible than others. Its a place well worth a visit.
